The Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers (MBREA) serves the needs of real estate appraisers and those seeking appraisal services, including Realtors and other real estate agents, lenders, borrowers, and homeowners. The MBREA offers continuing education for appraiser licensing and certification, discounts on web sites for appraisers, and professional designations for appraisers that satisfy its requirements relating to experience, examination, and demonstration. The Northeast Organic Farming Association
NOFA/Mass educates on the issue of genetic engineering, publishes the Organic Food Guide of organic growers in the state and provides for its members an annual bulk order of organic amendments, cover crops and farming supplies. In Springfield NOFA/Mass is working with a teen/community gardening and theatre project. NOFA/Mass works with small dairy holders for marketing and support sources, holds a practical skills workshop series and provides organic extension assistance to farmers and gardeners across Massachusetts.
